Born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK, I have been a photographer for 50 years, specialising in music, theatre and event photography. I documented projects for Street Child Africa in Ghana, Mozambique and Zambia, an HIV-AIDS drama project in Lesotho, and Dinganga Theatre Creations, a dance theatre company, in Soweto.  My work has been exhibited at galleries and art centres in the NE of England, Ireland, and the British Council in Accra.  I was a full-time lecturer in Further Education, devised and ran short courses in photography and IT, and taught web design at Derry Playhouse in Northern Ireland. Along the way I have also been an arts administrator, a radio DJ, a magazine publisher, a TV presenter and a plumber.
